| KIDS' CHURCH Each Sunday, we offer Kids' Church (Sunday School) for children from 4-12 years of age during the main service at 10.30am. It meets in the Church Centre (Salesianergasse 24) just around the corner from the Church. Toddlers over the age of two years are welcome with their parents staying to help them. The language of instruction is English, however we try to help with German speakers as much as possible. We believe that there needs to be a connection between the lessons in Kids' Church and the worship going on in the church building. Therefore, as well as learning bible stories, Kids' Church tries to follow the liturgical year as it is celebrated at Christ Church. Additionally, the children return to worship service each week to join the congregation for Holy Communion. In this way the children learn that they, too, are part of the worshipping community. On five Sundays each year (the first Sunday in September, Harvest Sunday, Nativity, Mothering Sunday, and the first Sunday in June) we have a family service. This is not a service just for families, but a service where we all, as the family of God, join together for worship and praise. |
